Amen. It is easy to get so caught up in the analysis of strategic options that are the purview of the Executive team, that we forget to engage the front line. Communicating the crisis shows respect for the front line and engaging them in improving safety and quality, reminds them that those core values remain central to the organizations mission, while addressing the crisis. We should not discount the power of the front line to reduce cost through improvements in quality and waste reduction.
